The British band The Fixx brought their unique sound, style, and energy to the Greenwich Odeum on Friday night, April 18th. The band’s nineteen-song set thoroughly engaged the sold-out Odeum audience from start to finish.
The band opened with Outside, from their second studio album, followed by a two-hour set that included the band’s signature hits “One Thing Leads To Another”, “Saved by Zero”, “Are We Ourselves?”, “Secret Separation” “Red Skies” and “Stand or Fall”.
The Fixx lineup includes all five original members, who formed in 1979 in London, England: Cy Curnin on lead vocals, Jamie West-Oran on guitars and backing vocals, Rupert Greenall on keyboards and backing vocals, Dan K. Brown on bass and backing vocals, and Adam Woods on drums.
As a frontman, Cy Curnin was incredibly entertaining with his animated stage presence, captivating theatrics, and clever props. The band was exceptionally tight and played with enthusiasm and passion. After four decades of recording, touring, and performing as a unit, The Fixx shows no signs of slowing down. If you missed this show, be sure to catch the next one!
